Andrea Occhipinti è il fondatore di Lucky Red. Dal 1987 ha fornito oltre 400 titoli e prodotto più di 30 film, alcuni tra i migliori nella produzione indipendente internazionale, avvicinando il pubblico italiano a registi di tutto il mondo, molti dei quali sono considerati ‘auteurs’: Paolo Sorrentino, Alejandro Amenabar, Lars Von Trier, Wong Kar Way, Michael Haneke, François Ozon, Hayao Miyazaki, Agnes Jaoui, Jean Pierre and Luc Dardenne. Questa caratteristica distintiva di Lucky Red ha aiutato quest’ultima a costruire relazioni durature con produttori e direttori nel mondo. Esempi di questo successo includono Shine Le Goût des Autres, The Others, The Magdalene Sisters, March of the Penguins, Slumdog Millionaire, Des Hommes et des Deux, El Secreto de Sus Ojos, Il Divo, Inside Llewyn Davis, Nebraska, Philomena, La Vie d’Adele, The Little Prince e più recentemente Moonlight.

Andrea Occhipinti founded Lucky Red in 1987.

He distributed over 400 titles and produced over 30 films, introducing Italian audience to many authors: Paolo Sorrentino, Alejandro Amenabar, Lars Von Trier, Wong Kar Way, Michael Haneke, Jean Pierre & Luc Dardenne.

Lucky Red achieved many international successes such as The Others, Slumdog Millionaire, Il Divo, La Vie d’Adele, The Little Prince, Moonlight, The Salesman.

In 2017, Lucky Red opened its own production division and announced Sulla Mia Pelle, Ride, untitled Mainetti project.

Occhipinti is also President of Theatrical Distributors in ANICA.
