Jonas Bauer ha iniziato a lavorare per ProSieben nel 1995 e poco dopo si è unito al gruppo Kirch come assistente di Jan Mojto con particolare attenzione alle coproduzioni in lingua inglese. Nel 1999 è entrato a far parte del Gruppo DeAngelis a Roma, in qualità di responsabile della produzione internazionale, responsabile dello sviluppo, finanziamento, produzione e distribuzione di una dozzina di progetti tra cui la miniserie “Julius Caesar” per TNT e ARD e “The Magnificent Ambersons” per A&E Networks. Nel 2004, Jonas è entrato a far parte di Tandem Communications a Monaco e in seguito è diventato partner della società nel 2007. Ha svolto un ruolo chiave nel garantire i diritti internazionali per la miniserie di Ridely Scott “The Company” (TNT) e per la miniserie “The Hades Factor” (NBC) e “Impact” (ABC). Prima dell’ingresso di Studiocanal come azionista in Tandem, Jonas era anche responsabile della distribuzione di Tandem in Italia e Spagna. Con l’ingresso di Studiocanal come azionista nel 2011, Jonas ha assunto la responsabilità di assicurare i diritti di distribuzione internazionale per la divisione distribuzione di Studiocanal come capo delle acquisizioni e delle coproduzioni internazionali. Parallelamente ha continuato a sviluppare, finanziare e produrre film e serie come uno dei produttori esecutivi di Tandem, inclusa la serie “Spotless” (Canal+) nel 2014. Ha conseguito un MBA presso INSEAD, Fontainebleau e un Bachelor of Arts con un laurea in Storia e Letteratura alla Princeton University. Parla fluentemente quattro lingue.

Jonas Bauer joined forces with TANDEM Productions in August 2004 as an affiliated producer and sales agent, and was named partner in October 2007.
Following STUDIOCANAL’s majority stake in TANDEM, in 2012, Jonas was appointed Head of International Acquisitions and Co-Productions for the studio. Jonas oversees the development of European co-production projects as well as securing and acquiring international rights.
Among Jonas’ past credits include executive producer of the one-hour drama series, Spotless, a CANAL+ Création Originale. He played a key role in securing the international rights for Ridley Scott’s miniseries The Company as well as the miniseries The Hades Factor based on Robert Ludlum’s best-selling novel.
Prior to his positions at TANDEM and STUDIOCANAL, Jonas was Head of International Production at the DeAngelis Group in Rome, responsible for international financing, production and distribution. In this capacity, he put together financing for over a dozen projects and produced, among others, the miniseries Julius Caesar for TNT and ARD.
Before entering the television industry Jonas Bauer was a management consultant for several years at Bossard Consultants in Munich. In 1995 he started working for ProSieben in advertising sales and subsequently joined the Kirch Group as assistant to Jan Mojto, with a focus on English-language co-productions.
He holds an MBA from INSEAD, Fontainebleau and a Bachelor of Arts with a major in history and literature from Princeton University. Jonas Bauer speaks four languages fluently.
