Nato a Roma nel 1964, si è laureato in Scienze Politiche all’Università della Sapienza di Roma. Ha sposato Paola Lucantoni nel 1996 e hanno avuto sei figli. Ha iniziato la sua carriera lavorando nella pubblicità.
Nel 1994, è diventato Produttore Associato in Lux Vide, dove ha prodotto la prima miniserie di Bible Seris. Nel 2002, è stato nominato Responsabile della Produzione, occupandosi dell’intero ciclo di produzione, dallo sviluppo alla post-produzione. Nel 2013 è stato nominato AD di Lux Vide.
Ha prodotto più di 100 progetti, compresi film per il piccolo schermo, serie e miniserie, come “War and Peace”, “Coco Chanel”, con Shirley McLaine, e l’ultima “I Medici, Masters of Florence”, con Richard Madden e Dustin Hoffman.
Inoltre, sta producendo la seconda stagione di Medici, The Magnificent e attualmente sta lavorando alla produzione di più di 10 nuove serie (per Rai, Mediaset e SKY)
Ora in pre-produzione, sta lavorando a Devils, diretto da Nick Hurran per SKY Italia in collaborazione con Sky Vision.

Managing Director – LUX VIDE

Luca Bernabei was born in Rome and holds a degree in Political Science from the La Sapienza University of Rome.
His first work experience was in advertising. In 1988 he began working for the advertising company Armando Testa and became Senior Account and vice-manager of New Business (including clients BNL, ENI, BMW, Plasmon, SIP and others).
From 1992 to 1993 he worked as a producer for the BRW production company, creating commercials for several prestigious clients such as WWF, BNL, Nestlé, Coin, Sip, Cameo, Campari and Illy Caffè.
He began working for Lux Vide in 1994 and, as Associate Producer, produced the first few miniseries in the Bible Series. In 2002 he was nominated Director of Production Activities, responsible for the entire product creation cycle, from set creation to post-production.
After twenty-five years of experience in International production, in 2013 he was nominated first Director General then Managing Director of the company.
