Job Description: I purchase approximately 80 hours of documentaries (52’), pre purchase 15 hours of documentaries, co-produce 20 hours documentaries (52’) and I also purchase around 10 feature films per year. Through the documentaries, that I buy or co produce, I try to raise awareness and understanding of everyday society issues but also major events that have shaped our history.
My goal through this program is to offer viewers both creative documentary, author documentaries and also investigative reports.
Strand Profile: every day LCP broadcasts at 20h30 a documentary followed by a debate. The week-end it’s a TV fiction, featuring film or 90’ documentary
We have 2 slots :
First is during the week we broadcast every day at 20h30 and 00h30 the name slot is “DROIT DE SUITE”. We broadcast a 52’ documentary with a debate after.
The second is during the week-end the name is “GRAND ECRAN” with a 90’ documentary, TV fiction or featuring film and after the film there is a debate.
This slot is on Sunday at 20h30.
Themes: our documentaries concern: society, history, human interest and current and political affairs.
Main activities: acquisitions, pre-buys, co-productions.
What I’m mainly looking for at MIA DOC: my goal at MIA DOC is to discover new catalogue but also new directors, new producers, new films to try to make more international coproductions and try to develop more relations with foreign companies.
