Managing Director – Carnival Films
David O’Donoghue is the joint Managing Director of Carnival Films. His focus is on supporting projects through each stage of the programme lifecycle, as well as Carnival’s wider strategy and business development. David started his career practising as a corporate finance lawyer at Clifford Chance, before moving into business development at leading entertainment financier, Ingenious Media, where he worked on the launch of new investment funds operating across the industry. He joined Carnival in 2007 in Business Affairs where he worked on the production and financing of shows such as Downton Abbey and the integration of Carnival into NBCUniversal. He later joined Universal’s International TV Production Group as VP Business Affairs, latterly Head of International Scripted Business Affairs, before returning to Carnival as COO in 2012, and subsequently becoming joint Managing Director in 2017. David holds a law degree from La Sorbonne and King’s College London and an MBA from Cass Business School.
