Rosario Rinaldo was born in Naples in 1952.
Rosario Rinaldo is a member of the board of directors of APT – Associazione Produttori Televisivi (TV Producers Association). He is currently Chairman of Cross Productions founded in July 2013 following the acquisition by Beta Film Gmbh of the shares previously held by Magnolia SPA in Magnolia Fiction. From July 2006 to July 2013 he held the position of Chief Executive Officer at Magnolia Fiction, a company of Magnolia Group, a subsidiary of De Agostini, specialized in the production of tv series of all genres and formats. From 1991 to 2006 he was founder and Sole Director of Pequod s.r.l., a company for independent audiovisual productions, TV series and films made for both television and cinema. In 2005 he won the David di Donatello as Best Producer of the Year for the film Certi Bambini (“A Children’s Story”) directed by A.A. Frazzi. From 1985 to 1988, he oversaw the film programming of Canale 5, Italia 1 and Rete 4. From 1988 to 1991 he held the position of Editorial Manager of Mediaset’s factual production in an executive role. From 1983 to 1984 he was responsible for the film programming of Rete 4 (Mondadori management).
From 1981 to 1983 he was among the founding members of Cooperativa Massenzio (an organization for the organization of cultural events related to FilmTV). In 1976 he graduated in History of Art with honors and the publication of his final dissertation entitled American Underground Cinema of the 60s.
