Graduating in Literature with a thesis on the History and Criticism of Cinema on Kathryn Bigelow, after university, she attended the RAI SCRIPT course for screenwriters and the MEDIASET course on television writing. She has worked as a screenwriter for over 15 years. Her passion for writing began in childhood and soon moved to the cinema. In the 90s, like many, she watched the Twin Peaks TV series, which sparked her passion and desire to study TV series. She started with the series Distretto di Polizia 3 e 4 for Canale 5, then was lucky enough to create and write RIS Delitti Imperfetti, again for Canale 5, Romanzo Criminale 1 and 2 for Sky, Donne Assassine and “Il Mostro di Firenze; for Fox Italy. She returned to work for Canale 5 with Il clan dei Camorristi, Le mani dentro la città and Squadra Mobile. She is currently Head Writer on Suburra, the first Italian TV series produced for Netflix.
Despite her passion for TV serials, she also writes for the cinema, because one never forgets one’s first love. She has written Mozzarella Stories (Edoardo De Angelis’s debut film as director), ACAB (Stefano Sollima’s debut film as director) and Indivisibili (directed by Edoardo De Angelis), for which she received the David di Donatello award and the Ciak d’Oro for best original screenplay in 2017.
