Job Description: I’m responsible for development and production of documentary projects ranging from feature-length films to limited and recurring unscripted series. This includes overseeing in-house development as well as identifying strong projects from outside filmmakers and production companies that we can becoming involved with as producers and / or financiers.
Strand Profile: while our company is home to the broadcast channel VICELAND, I’m not involved in programming strands. We develop and produce documentary projects and leverage our relationships with some of the biggest players in the media world to help find the best home for each of these projects.
Themes: we choose a diverse range of projects from hard-hitting investigative journalism, to verité films on social issues, to examinations of celebrity, but what ties them all together is a focus on rebels, radicals, and people on the margins of society.
Main activities: we are primarily focused on producing and co-producing, leaving the door open for the occasional acquisition.

What I’m mainly looking for at MIA DOC: I’m looking for compelling projects that show a side of Italy that would surprise an American audience, I’m looking for projects that we can co-produce with Italian / European partners, and I’m looking to meet visionary filmmakers.
